PALERMO AND CEFALU’ TOUR





A must-visit for lovers of culture, heritage and history of Sicily, this tour will guide you through the towns of Palermo and Cefalù in the North-West part of Sicily.
Upon arrival into the city you will visit the medieval area of Palermo where the main features are from Baroque and Arabian-Norman period.
Palermo is the capital and the most important city of Sicily. Piazza Pretoria with its beautiful Renaissance fountain, the heart of the city called Quattro Canti, the magnificent Cathedral, San Cataldo church, the local market where you can experience the colorful local life and taste some Sicilian street food.
Continue to Palazzo dei Normanni, the Royal Palace, to see the exquisite Palatine Chapel with its golden mosaics, built for Roger II of Sicily in 1132.
After a quick lunch, we will reach the picturesque and fascinating Cefalù, listed among the most beautiful hamlets in Italy for its historical, cultural and artistic value.
The most important and impressive monument is the Cathedral, first built during the 12th Century, is an extraordinary example of Norman architecture surrounded by a lovely square with palm trees: the perfect place for enjoying some delicious local gelato.
On the way back we will enjoy a stunning view of the Tyrrenian coast of Sicily.
