TRANSFER FROM CATANIA AIRPORTO TO MILAZZO
Milazzo is the main port of departure for those heading to the Aeolian Islands, but in 260BC it was the site of a famous Roman naval victory in the First Punic War.
The Aeolian Islands (Isole Eolie in Italian) are seven small islands off the northern shore of Sicily, close to the tip of Italy’s toe.
The islands are popular as a holiday destination, offering sunshine, beaches and natural beauty, as well as volcanic activities on Vulcano and Stromboli.
The islands are grouped together as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Milazzo’s route is about 145km and the journey takes about 1 hour and 50 minutes.
